About Prodigal Panda Writing and Social Science Center

Prodigal Panda Writing and Social Science Center promotes spiritual development through life and writing coaching, paranormal investigation, Reiki healing, classes on historical and psychology topics, and various forms of meditation including angel meditation, spirit animals and Medicine Wheels, crystal healing, and more.

While my orientation is from the Christian faith, all faiths are welcome here and I have experience and training from other walks of life. In this day and age it’s sad to have to say I’m not one of “those Christians” and embrace the mystical and traditional ways promoted from the beginning of the faith and continued with Jesus. All are safe and welcome here.

Meet Mandy!

Hi, my name is Mandy McIntosh. I’m the owner of Prodigal Panda. I’d like to take a moment to highlight my experience in each of the fields you’ll see in my menu.

Paranormal Investigation: I’ve been a paranormal investigator for 19 years now, but I’ve been communing with the dead since I was a young child…around the age of 3 or 4. I began investigating in 2007 after coming to terms with the fact that I am regularly visited by spirits. I ran a group for a bit, but my job that pays the bills is a night job and leaves the idea of a team a bit out of the question currently. I have many years experience investigating homes and am starting to visit more of the big haunted attractions. I am currently working on my first paranormal book, Who is the Girl at Sleeper Mortuary.

Writing: I have been professionally writing since the age of 13 when I was accepted into the Institute of Children’s Literature. I went on to study screenwriting for a bit at UCLA. Currently, I am on sabbatical from obtaining an MA in Professional Writing from Liberty University. I have been published in multiple magazines and newspapers, as well as presented professional papers at symposiums in college. I have served as an editor and content reviewer for several companies. Additonally, I have been teaching English Second Language to children and adults in China and Indonesia for the last seven years.

Life Coaching: I have a B.A. Regents with a specialization in Psychology and Social Work from Concord University. I have done numerous grant programs promoting health including doing case work and support groups. I am currently obtaining my life coaching certification from the Transformation Academy where I am learning more about Shamantic Healing among other things.

Spiritual Programming: I obtained my Reiki I and II certification in 2026. I have had numerous years working with angel meditation, crystal healing, spirit animals including Medicine Wheels, and have taught or presented papers on several spiritual topics. I served as a Sunday school teacher for around 4 years. Over the course of the last 10 years, I have studied and developed products based on biblical cleansing and traditions that coincide with my paranormal background.

All are welcome here. We’re in a day and age where false Christianity has become the trend. Christianity is, in fact, rather mystical and we’ve lost the focus of worship. I am not welcome in many churches myself, so if you are of another faith, please know you’re in good company here.

Additionally, my family thought we had Native American in us since I was in elementary school. I learned about spirit animals one day in second grade and have been studying them since. We found out several years ago that we did not have any Native American in us, but that hasn’t changed my love for studying the Native American traditions since I was a child. If anything feels “culturally appropriated” please feel free to reach out. I’d love to learn from you.

Organizations I Support

Cat Cafe and Cat Boarding Sanur

Cat Cafe and Cat Boarding Sanur is a cat rescue and cafe located in Bali, Indonesia. They house around 20-30 cats at any time. The money they receive goes to keeping the facility open, the cats cared for, and vet care. I got to visit them on a trip and love the environment they’ve set up for the cats as well as the adorable cats there. They have a separate area for cat boarding.
