Erikson's Life Stages Spirit Animals
Native Americans used the behaviors of animals to help reflect and meditate on what lessons they could learn in order to make better life choices. These spirit animals are with us in spirit to teach us those lessons and help us learn about ourselves. While spirit animals are Native American, Christianity also has a tradition of using animals to teach lessons, provide insight, and offer assistance. You can find more information on my spirit animals page under the paranormal and religion tab on my website.
Psychoanalyst Erik Erikson developed a theory of personality development with 8 stages of life that people go through for personal growth. Using his theory, we can gain insight into understanding our personality and carving out our future path.
You will get a report on the eight stages of development in Erik Erikson's personality theory. The report will not tell you the future nor provide a step-by-step solution to your problems. The idea is to gain insight into these areas of your life led by God, a god or goddess of your faith, or a higher power. By examining the animal assigned to each area, you can apply their medicine to that area in order to bring about positive changes. The elders in Native tribes did not offer answers to the subject of the Medicine Wheel. They offered advice or wisdom about the animals that were chosen, and the subject went off so they could integrate the medicine of the animals into each area of their life. You can choose how you meditate but there will also be suggestions in the report.
